Using a motion controller to blast away zombies in Left 4 Dead 2 puts a big ol' banana grin on my face. The technology behind the Razer Hydra isn't perfect yet, but it is pretty darn close. The one issue I initially had with this device was interference from surrounding electronics. Things that have powerful magnetic fields (some speakers, laptop power bricks, etc) have the potential to cause some jitter of the cursor. This issue is very unlikely to effect you, and if it does the resolution simple. For me, the solution was just to move the base station more towards the front of my desk. [EDIT] After some testing to find out what was causing my level of jitter, I found it to be my Asus 23" 3D monitor. With the monitor off, my jitter drops to basically nothing (tested this with second monitor). Hoping to hear some good news from sixense regarding this, but seems that I just have a highly interfering product. The Hydra is still perfectly... The Portal 2 that is bundled becomes so immersive using the special controls and added abilities. As these start to become become more popular we will see more games with specifically programmed support. For your older games you can use this tool [...] to create your own control profile for each game. I recommend that tool over the Razer Hydra Configurator as the later does not let you customize your game profiles. The cables are much longer than you could need. The shape is much more comfortable than a Wii remote. This is very easy to program with from a developer's standpoint. I shaved it down with a knife and NOW it works well. Hopefully the next fresh batteries will last longer than a week. I suggest turning it off when you're not using it to save battery life. Sooner or later they fail, trackball becomes erratic, scroll wheel stops working or keys stop responding. All but one have been Adesso. I love the WKB-3000UB/DSI FK-760. This keyboard, the WKB-3000U is a newer offering from Adesso. Pros: 1. Keyboard feel is very good (better than the WKB-3000UB) 2. Scroll wheel is much better than the WKB-3000UB 3. Track ball is much more precise than the WKB-3000UB Cons: 1. The backspace key is the same size as the other "standard size" keys and it is located next to the Home key. It should be twice the size as other keys as on the WKB-3000UB/FK-760. I don't know how many times I think I hit the back space key but inadvertently hit the Home key. It really messes things up! 2. Unlike the WKB-3000UB/FK-760, this keyboard does not have the left mouse button... I was hesitant to purchase after seeing so many negative reviews. Sure enough my keyboard worked for a while an then started locking up with no response. I was about to return it when I decided to look at FAQs on manufacturers website and one of the recommendations solved my problem. I found out that Power Management settings were putting keyboard to sleep. There is a box "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power" that must be unchecked. Can be found under "USB Root Hub" devices listed in Device Manager. There were several; I unchecked them all. It has been working perfectly ever since making these changes. Update 9/8/2012: Still working after a full day. Could not go for an hour without locking up before this change.
