Just what you want in a wireless mouse. My only real gripes with this mouse is that it picks up fingerprints and smudges even faster than your iPhone, and sometimes you will accidentally depress one of the buttons since there is very little resistance, which takes a little getting used to. If you're not careful, the black plastic scratches easily when you attempt to wipe it clean. Only use an optical-grade soft cleaning cloth if you do this.Battery life is very good to great. The on/off switch on the back helps extend it even further. I have also used MS wireless mouse and Logitech wireless mouse / keyboard combo and Kensington is easily the longest. The nano receiver is also tiny and driver takes 2 seconds to install, but if you don't want to leave the receiver attached, or need to switch it between computers then there is a little store away compartment inside the bottom of the mouse itself. The scroll wheel stopped working on it. The 2nd one still works but these mice eat through batteries like you wouldn't believe. I am having to change the batteries about every 10 days and that's with shutting it off most nights. It's ridiculous. I will say this, although it's not a full sized mouse, it's pretty comfortable and just the size I was looking for to use with a notebook. I have another small mouse with retractable cable but it hurts my hand to use it after a while so I wouldn't want to go any smaller. But it just feels a little cheap and the battery thing is just unacceptable. Now I'm not sure to take my chances on another wireless mouse or just go back to a corded one. It reflects the fact that Kensignton has this mouse listed here and on their home website as a full sized mouse. This is not a full sized mouse as it is 3/4 of an inch shorter and 1/2 an inch thinner than my old Logitech mouse. This mouse should be at least listed as mid-size. |
