Azio Mini Wireless Thumb Keyboard (KB178RT) Reviews Great idea, but didnt work as a HTPC keyboard, Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Azio Mini Wireless Thumb Keyboard (KB178RT) (Personal Computers) Device would not work more than 3 feet from computer. Application was for a HTPC keyboard in the family room. Sent it back for a refund. Perfect size, By Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Azio Mini Wireless Thumb Keyboard (KB178RT) (Personal Computers) I've bought several wireless keyboards over the years, looking for the perfect one. Most are too big, or the mouse controls (trackballs, nubs, touchpads) are too finicky. But this one seems to finally fit the bill perfectly. I can hold it in my hands without having to sit it on my lap or a flat surface. I can quickly and easily type using just my thumbs. And the mouse control is exactly what I've been looking for.My only concern is that the keyboard does feel a bit cheap and flimsy, so I have concerns as to whether it will stand the test of time. But for now, I'm loving it! I Love the Size!, By Ryan (Los Angeles, CA) - See all my reviews This review is from: Azio Mini Wireless Thumb Keyboard (KB178RT) (Personal Computers) I've used quite a few "mini" htpc keyboards, the Lenovo Remote Keyboard, Rii Mini Wireless Keyboard, AZIO KB351RT and I like the AZIO KB178RT the best. The size is of the buttons are just large enough for my fat fingers to press them properly. The trackball is easy to use with the he mouse buttons on the opposite of the keyboard which makes hitting the mouse buttons very easy. I can even do drag and drop with this keyboard. The range is decent at around 30 feet (I have my dongle on the front panel USB port). I haven't been able to test the Battery life, but since the keyboard is rechargeable, it's a non-issue for me. A mini USB cable is included in the box to charge the keyboard and computer USB port. For CONS I'd say 1 thing, it's missing the Windows key. But I found simple work around for that, just press CTRL ESC and that will activate the Windows Key. I recommend this keyboard to anyone need something of a decently small size to control their PC from across the room. |
