I have no experience with the wireless mouse, which may be completely different.Computer mice come in lots of different sizes and have lots of different features. The cheap basic mice usually have poorer resolution (fine for general office use, but not for computer graphics or gaming) and fewer controls. Still, the cheaper mice do come in lots of different sizes. You would be wise to try them out in a store to see what is comfortable for you. This Amazon mouse is pretty small for a full-time desktop mouse. My hands are medium sized and this mouse is too small for me. If I rest my palm on the back side of the mouse, then my finger tips are an inch over the front and I cannot control the buttons. If I hold the mouse with just my fingers, then my hands start to cramp during normal use. My normal mouse if not much bigger than this, but it is just enough... Within seconds of plugging this in for the first time, it was ready to use with my laptop. The buttons make a quiet click, unlike some louder ones I've used. The middle roller for scrolling is fast and also quiet. I've tried other brands that make more scrolling noise.This mouse worked well using it right on the table surface without a mouse pad. Some aren't as accurate on a table top, but this performed well. I plan to keep it in my laptop bag for my "portable office" because I'm more productive with a mouse than with the laptop touch pad. This mouse fits well in the palm of my hand and the cord is plenty long. People with larger hands and longer fingers might not find it as comfortable, but I have a wide palm and short fingers and it's perfect. I like the matte finish. It feels a bit like the rubberized cell phone cover I have and I like it better than the hard plastic finish. You might find one for a couple bucks less at your local box store, but you get what... I needed a replacement for my aging Dell mouse and figured I'd give this a try. The mouse has a nice matte black finish. It fits my palm reasonably well but it could be a little higher. When I first got it the left button was a little stiff so I contemplated returning it but it seems to have worked itself out. The wheel works well but it wish it was ribbed instead of smooth as it would provide a better grip. |
