5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome Gaming Keyboard!, February 27, 2012

To get the nastiness out of the way:

Yes, the keyboard layout is different from most. This uses the layout where the backspace key is smaller and the enter key is a gargantuan beast. I advise looking up pictures of the keys to see what I mean and deciding if you can handle the change.

That being said, I love this keyboard. It feels very solid (not afraid to break it). I'd read a lot of reviews that have said that the Cherry MX Black switches are not considered very good for typing, and are mainly geared towards pure gaming. Personally, I find that the CMXB switches are fantastic for everything. I tend to (apparently) type a little heavy-handedly. This is not a problem with this keyboard (at least not yet).

The key "feel" is fantastic. It feels like someone dug up an old IBM beast-board from the monolith era and rebuilt it from scratch with the latest tech. The result is a very smooth, uniform key motion, and the only noise is the clack of the key... Read more

5.0 out of 5 stars Left hander's Dream keyboard.. (for the most part), February 15, 2012

This review is from: Azio Levetron Mech4 Gaming Keyboard (KB588U) (Personal Computers)
As an avid, left-handed, PC gamer, i absolutley love this keyboard. I used to use a nostromo, but decided that i wanted to minimize on space with my desk.. meaning no more cheapy keyboard on top of the desk, while my naga mouse and nostromo sat on my pull-out keyboard tray..

so, i found this keyboard. The fact that the numpad is not only interchangable, but completey Removable, has brought me from a four star to a five star. I think some of the decals are a bit flashy and stupid, luckily i work in a model shop and had mine touched up a bit, and took the wings off of it... (this may not be an issue for most)

in terms of gaming, and i play both FPS and MMOs, i love this keyboard.. the mechanical keys are extremely responsive, and spring back very well. If you have never had a good quality keyboard before, then the depressing of the buttons will take some time to get used to. But, in terms of gaming, once you get over that hump, youll love it. Especially when... Read more

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent keyboard, January 6, 2012

Pros:
- Sturdy construction, no bend or give at all
- Removable and ambidextrous numpad
- Excellent response in mechanical keys
- Volume knob!!! (I hate volume buttons)
- Powered USB hub, can charge my phone/camera
- Braided, tangle free USB cord
- Ability to remap any key as anything (literally anything)

Cons:
- No media keys (Currently using the movable macro panel as media keys, so not really a problem)
- Nonstandard backspace key, takes a day or two to get used to
- A tad heavy on the decals/branding

I have been using Logitech keyboards for years. My G15 finally kicked the bucket and I had been hearing a lot about mechanical keyboards. I stumbled upon this guy and thought the price and depth of features would make for a worthy replacement.

I must say I am incredibly impressed with the functionality and build quality of this keyboard...
